Debra Serrano

Debra Serrano is a devoted educator and librarian. She has been a kindergarten and first grade teacher before continuing her career in education as a librarian. Debra received her Bachelor's of Science in elementary education from Texas A&M University Corpus Christi. After teaching for a few years, Debra decided to further her education by earning her Master of Library Science degree from Sam Houston State University.  Since then she has been both a high school and elementary library. Debra is passionate about early childhood education so she has preferred her role as an elementary library. Debra's philosophy is to exemplify her love of reading through her read alouds and reading activities so students can experience the joys of reading.
