What Does a School Counselor do?

The school counselors talk and meet with individual students when problems arise.  They meet with students in small groups as well.  Counselors also visit the classrooms to teach lessons about things that will help students both in and out of the school.  They also teach guidance lessons focusing on the guidance components such as Self Esteem, Decision Making, Motivation to Achieve, etc. . .
